Those of you that have been following my Tuscan journey in these past few years will have seen that I have formed a strong connection to one particular place, at the bottom of the Tiber valley.

The National Archive of Diaries (L’Archivio Diaristico Nazionale) is a unique place, archiving diaries of Italians across class, nation, age and time periods… The diaries are stored one after the other, alphabetically… A sort of democratic method of ensuring that each is valued and given space to be read, experienced. In my case, also space to inspire. While I have just finished work on another short film inspired by one of the treasures of The Archive, I also had the pleasure of creating this short film to celebrate 30 years of the National Archive.
